Welcome to Tender Riots! 

Our mission is to fortify the sanctuary of our bodies, minds and souls through wild and playful dance parties. We celebrate full bodied expression through music that will dance both our darkest and our lightest emotions. On the dance floor we build family. Here, we dance the revolution.

Your DJ will provide some light vocal cues to support dancers in connecting to their bodies and one another throughout the set. Expect a Tender Riot Ritual about 1 hour into the event. These parties happen in the early evenings where drugs and alcohol are not at the center.

Community Agreements:

• Ask: before dancing with and touching others
• No Phones Anywhere
• Respect Each Other and Yourself

Community Agreements will be briefly expanded upon during the Tender Riot Ritual.

There will be a team of Riot Rousers present to help bolster community agreements, activate the dance floor and maintain as safe a space as possible.

A Note from Your DJ, Leucas Loves

If you thought you didn’t have the energy to get wackier than a courting black footed albatross, you will have to think again. My cross genre sets driven by house and global beats will bring you to your second wind and raise you your fifth. I’m just as playful, silly, goofy as I am spiritually inclined and I’m basically a monk:p I live my truth so boldly that it will reflect the places in you where you are still lying to yourself. Let’s dance until every mask is shaken off. Until even your grief and your rage becomes irresistible. I want you to know that when I stand behind the decks, I am in search of your power center. I will attune to you in your play, in your light, in your darkness and in your shame so that we can harness all of you. With the uncovered power in us, we will generate realities of unity and love that have not yet been imagined.

Photography

There will be a photographer present in service of gaining momentum behind this most special movement. There will be a camera free sanctioned zone on the dance floor for those who do not want to be photographed. Expect to have a photographer present at about every other Tender Riots event. We will always list here on the ticketing page if there will be a photographer present. By purchasing a ticket and dancing outside of the camera free zone, you consent to have your photo taken and posted on social media platforms, websites and newsletters managed by Leucas Loves, Nuna Productions and Crybaby. Requests to remove photos from the above listed platforms will be honored, please reach out to us directly.

What to Bring

A water bottle and comfy clothes to dance freely and sweat in! Playful, wild or sexii costumes are encouraged. Genitals must stay covered but all nipples and bare chests are welcome.

There is a bar with drinks and some NA options for purchase.

Tender Riots aims to foster diversity and equity amongst our community. Here, we celebrate sexuality, gender, neuro-, body, ability, economic, racial, ethnic and age diversity.

• reserving a chair for you if you expect you will need seated dance breaks
• comping your aid or assistant with a free ticket

Crybaby is ADA compliant with street level entrance/exits and ground level bathrooms.

There are three gender neutral bathrooms on site.

Service Animals are welcome.

Masks are not required but respecting individual choices to wear a mask or not is required.

Energy/Stimulation Levels

Expect high energy and loud music. Your DJ is nervous system attuned so we will ease into and out of the bangers but it will get rowdy through the peak of the set. Expect enough physical space to explore your body with expansive movement and also this event may be fairly crowded, especially if we sell out! Tickets are capped at 500 Rioters. You're free to leave the dance floor and step outside the back of the building whenever you need a stimulation break. We celebrate you for listening to your body and taking care of yourself.
